The body itself

 

 

The skeleton of the body is a very important part, because it is the body where the mechabox is inserted. At the same time, it is also the "shield" of the mechabox against falls, weathering, etc. They can be styled in different ways, both in terms of colour and function. Some even have useful accessories. The outer barrel with fore-end, the stock tube with stock and the handguard are attached to the bodies at the same time. We have explained the function of the cocking lever in airsoft guns in the section itself. In sharp weapons it is used to cock the gun and load the cartridge into the chamber. Of the materials from which airsoft levers are made, plastic and metal dominate. For AR15 and AK guns it is duralumin or metal alloy, for MP5, g36 etc it is plastic. External barrels and gas block

 

When choosing an outer barrel, it is important to work with the length of the inner barrel. Ideally, the same length of inner and outer barrel is used, but there are cases where a person already has a smaller outer barrel and purchases a longer barrel. For these cases, one buys extension modules, or one can use a long silencer and hide the outer barrel in it.

Gas block is only an aesthetic addition in airsoft. When choosing it, it is necessary to pay attention to what barrel and forearm it is intended for. It could happen that you buy one that is too wide (then it won't fit properly on the barrel), or it won't fit in the forearm.

Stock

 

 

It is the back of the gun that we lean on when we want to shoot. There are several types of stocks themselves, as well as the materials from which they are made. The most common handguards we see are plastic, which can be customized to fit the shooter. With AKs, we often see wooden or metal folding stocks. Handguard

 

 

This is the front part of the body where we can put different flashlights, lasers, feet and all kinds of accessories. Its main function is to protect the outer barrel from the environment (for sharp guns it reduces the risk of getting burned by a hot barrel). For airsoft guns it prevents the barrel from misaligning and thus loss of accuracy. They are made of different materials and have different lengths. We have foregrips for AR15, AK and others. Today, two types of foregrips are most commonly used: freefloat and fixed between the body and gas block.

 

Compensators

 

 

In the world of airsoft, any stretch device is mainly for aesthetics. But some of them also have a functional solution in the form of a locking lock for attaching some silencers. When choosing them, it is very important to pay attention to the type of thread that is on the gun. We can also encounter right-hand and left-hand threads.
