Proper tools are simply the basis for quality service. Without the right screwdriver, the right size Allen key or even a wrench to remove the GBB valves, any job will be complicated, unnecessarily long and tedious. Service is a topic close to our hearts, so we have everything you need for basic service work at home or at an event!

SPECIALIZED TOOLS FOR AIRSOFT

Multifunction wrenches

There are multi-function wrenches designed for specific guns, such as the wrenches on the AR15. With these tools we can, for example, loosen the stock nut, remove the flash hiders, remove the forearm, etc. without having to own other specialized tools. So there is no need to further destroy the stock nut or forearm with "sikes".

GBB valve wrenches

It will certainly be a great relief to gas gun servicers to purchase a gas magazine valve wrench. These are accurately shaped to specific valves and will not only make the job easier and faster, but will also keep the valves from getting damaged when loosening and tightening.

TIP: When tightening any valves, keep in mind that a decent amount of force is needed. This means not tightening them to "blood". This is through the fine threads in both the magazine/gun and the valve itself. That's why it's easy to shear the threads if more force is applied. Subsequent repair is more expensive and if the threads on the magazine body are damaged then the repair may not always be successful.

Allen sets

As Allen screws are often used in airsoft guns, a set of Allen screws with the widest possible range of sizes should definitely not be missing from your equipment. Thanks to this set, you can quickly tighten the various permitted assemblies on the field without having to take the gun to the service station. There are also threaded adhesives associated with screw glue, which should definitely not be missing in the workshop!

Barrel cleaning kit

For quality, routine barrel maintenance, we have a dedicated barrel cleaning kit. This kit most often consists of a guide rod, broken down into 3 pieces, a cotton brush (called a lacette), a plastic brush and a bronze brush. But please don't use the latter on airsoft barrels, otherwise you will ruin the barrel surface and have to buy a new one unnecessarily.

There are also kits for firearms, mostly 223 Rem. and 308 Win. These kits can also be used for airsoft, but again, be warned, do not use the metal brushes that may be in the package.

Tip: Cleaning the barrel is done dry, or you can use technical alcohol. See the chapter on internal barrels to learn how to maintain the barrel of your guns. We definitely do not use any oils when cleaning the barrel. If any oil gets into the barrel, it is necessary to get it out, otherwise there is a risk of lubricating the hop up rubber. We have already explained what this does in the HOP UP chapter.

Picks

In case you need to pry some dirt out of a hard to reach place, but there is also a risk of damaging the material due to the use of a metal screwdriver for example, we offer a set of polymer jewelers for sale. Thanks to their special shapes, these can get into almost every crevice and can get the mess out well, but mainly without damaging the surrounding material.

Aids for easy closing of the mechabox

People who often work with mechaboxes probably don't need to be told about how difficult it can be to keep all those springs (whether reverse latches or triggers) in place. Often just before we fold them up, they pop out and we can start all over again. That's why you'll find an auxiliary jig in our range that will keep these parts in place, but at the same time won't get in the way of folding the mechabox itself. This tool will definitely save you a lot of time and we definitely recommend it!

ARE THERE SUCH THINGS AS PROTECTIVE PADS SO I DON'T GET MY IKEA TABLE DIRTY?

This protection exists, of course. It's called a gunsmith's pad. These come in different sizes, most often rubber pads that won't travel back and forth on the table. Often they sell pads with different designs. Most often you will see pads that have different designs printed on them. These motifs can take different forms, but the most common variations we see are:

Colour variations

Here we are dealing with classic coasters that are differently coloured. Often we can come across all-black coasters. There can also be different colour themes, for example with an army theme.

"Explode blueprint"

This term means that the picture shows the weapon broken down into its individual parts, with a list of these parts in one of the corners of the pad as well.Beautiful pads with this theme are produced by Vector Opics.  This type of mat will certainly be used by people who own some kind of firearm. They will make maintenance easier and also very informative. And for the "airsofter" it is again a nice design.

Some pads can be equipped with so called "chambers" for small accessories. These chambers can also contain a magnet, so that the inserted metal parts of the airsoft gun cannot be lost, for example, by falling to the ground. Specialised materials have been used for some of the pads, so they can be resistant to chemicals and oils for example, there can be increased resistance to fire, some have anti-static properties etc., so this increases their range of applications. Some of them are manufactured by company Specna Arms.

There are several types of materials used for the production of these pads, but most often we can meet with the classic foam, or made of rubber, which is able to withstand higher temperatures (therefore very useful as a table protection when working with a soldering station). The pads are, as already written, produced in different lengths.
