What does II. quality mean?
Products in the second quality category are 100% functional, but they may have a minor defect that does not affect the functionality of the product itself. Each product is inspected and only then released for sale.
All defects are individually mentioned for each product.
The products of the second quality category also come with a 2-year warranty.
The spring guide is a part that serves to properly lock the spring in the mechabox against the piston. In other words, it ensures that the spring does not twist. This part is manufactured for a specific mechabox. This means that the mandrel for V2 mechaboxes is not compatible with V3 and vice versa.
The base guides are fixed in the mechabox ( you cannot replace the spring except by rebuilding the mechabox). Today, QSC versions are more commonly used than these fixed ones. These are modified together with the mechabox so that the spring can be quickly replaced without having to disassemble the mechabox. This allows us to quickly and conveniently replace a damaged spring or insert another one.
Most often we encounter steel guides, where we are assured that even on strong springs they will not be destroyed, which would be a very short time with plastic ones.
There are 2 types available and these are with bearing and without bearing:
The spring rotates around its axis by compressing and straightening. Without the bearing, it could rotate in the piston head area, but not at the mandrel, and it could be damaged by the tension after some time so that it breaks. That's why it's best to have bearings at both ends.
Of course there are special types such as for the DSG system. We will explain this system in the gears.
