Selectors CYMA

Selectors CYMA

In order to switch between firing modes, you need to have a working firing switch in the gun. These switches work in conjunction with the selector plate found on the mechabox.

The switch on the AR15 platform (SR25,MK18,M4) is generally found on the left side of the replica and consists of two parts that fit together. Next, together with them we find a small spring with a steel ball that fits into the recesses on the body and prevents the mode from switching spontaneously. These tiny balls are very easy to lose, so we have included them as a spare part in our range as a set.

On the AK platform, the switch is on the right side of the gun. The switching is down or up, with the very top being SAFE, the middle position being FULL AUTO and the bottom position being SEMI. This part, like the AR15, also come in a variety of colors. Here again we must mention the company RetroArms.

For AK type weapons we offer a range of improved color switches both in a complete set and separate levers. Of course there are also bolt covers in various colours.

Technician's advice: There are a few specific steps to take for installation. For the AR15, the cap on the right side of the body must be knocked out to access the switch screw. Be careful, there is the aforementioned small ball that could get lost. After installing the new switch, it is very advisable to apply threaded adhesive to the screw as well, so that it can't loosen with shocks. At the end, the knocked out plug must be glued back in its original place. In the case of AK guns, care must be taken when tightening the screw to avoid stripping the screw in the mechabox. At the end it is again necessary to glue the screw with threaded glue.
