The switch contacts consist of a main part that is bolted to the mechabox and a shuttle that is movable and moves the trigger beak.

Their job is to connect the circuit and allow a full auto shot, connect and then disconnect the circuit on the semi to allow only one shot. We recommend the use fuse to protect the replica in the event of a battery problem.
It is recommended to be used in conjunction with a mosfet or active brake.

Mosfet

The advantage of the mosfet is that it allows contactless circuit connection, so the contacts do not burn and saves the battery. When the gun is at rest, it draws no current from the battery so it does not discharge and the mosfet increases the gun's cadence and battery life over the original wiring in the gun.

Active brakes

The active brake has all the benefits of the mosfet, but has an extra feature that uses the excess energy of the motor to stop it. As a result, the piston is not partially cocked during semi-firing, the spring does not fatigue, internal parts are not stressed, and the nozzle largely locks the chamber. It also solves the problem of multiple shots in semi-firing mode in high-calibre weapons.

Procesor unit

The use of a processor unit is possible. This part is most often installed inside the mechabox and completely replaces the switch contacts, only the cables go outside, saving space in the place where the battery is inserted.

Processor units have many functions, from piston preload, trigger sensitivity adjustment, various firing modes and diagnostics. Some even have bluetooth and can connect to apps.

Fuse

An electrical fuse is a one-time device that breaks a circuit in the event of an overcurrent or short circuit. A fusible electrical fuse is usually made of a thin filament that burns out when a certain amount of current is exceeded, thus breaking the electrical circuit. The fuse filament is usually embedded in a glass body or, in the case of a knife fuse, in a plastic casting of a different color. This color gives us the maximum current that the fuse is capable of handling.

Application of fuses

A fuse is an electrical device that protects electrical lines, electrical equipment, electronic components or circuitry from damage by excessive electric current. By switching off and breaking the circuit with a fuse, the electrical equipment of an airsoft gun is protected, such as not only mosfets, active brakes, processor units, but also motors and batteries too.

The principle of the fuse function

The principle of the fuse is that the fuse forms the weakest point of the electrical circuit. When an electric current passes through the fuse, a voltage drop and a power loss in the form of heat is generated at the electrical resistance of the fuse conductor. This causes the fuse cartridge conductor to heat up. Depending on the magnitude of the current, the power loss on the fuse conductor increases. The power dissipation is a function of the square of the current and therefore the time to fuse conductor melting is significantly reduced with increasing current magnitude. By melting the fuse conductor and extinguishing the resulting arc, the electrical circuit is interrupted.

Kabeláž / Konektory

All electronics need some sort of connection to a power source, and there are different types of cables for exactly this purpose

They are divided both by colour, where they are used to visually separate them by polarity, and by thickness.

  1. The thin ones ( about 0.5mm) are called signal cables and are often used to connect the mosfet/active brake to the trigger contacts
  2. The thick ones ( approx 1-2mm) are called power. These are then used to connect motor torches etc.

Different types of connectors are used to connect the mosfet etc to the battery:

Tamyia were previously very widespread but were not suitable for thick batteries. They cause scorching of the connector and high resistances.

T-dean is the most widely used connector in airsoft. It is ready for high currents with minimal transient losses.

XT60 is made of temperature resistant Nylon. The connector can withstand constant current up to 65A

vacuoles connector is most commonly used to connect 2 pieces of wiring

Faston are connectors used to connect a fuse or motor

Because of the large number of connector types, reducers are also sold to allow the replica and battery to be connected with different connec
