CNC Low Profile Bushings 8mm, 6pcs

The low profile plain bearings are CNC turned from high quality steel grade 19 313, 1.2842 (90MnCrV8) and hardened to a hardness of 58HRC. The high quality material used and the resulting hardness predestines the bearings for high load applications.

The low bearing profile was designed especially for trouble-free use in version II mechaboxes, where conventional bearings cause deflection of the switch ball. These low profile bearings do not touch the switch backing at all and do not affect its function or the operation of the switch backing.

Of course, low profile bearings can be used in any mechabox with 8mm or 9mm diameter cylindrical bore bearings.

We recommend lubricating the plain bearings generously with gerease .

The bearings are a few hundred millimeters (0.04mm) larger than the diameter of the mechabox bore to prevent spontaneous dropout and therefore the bearings need to be "tapped" into the mechabox. This can be done e.g. with a spring wire and ideally a copper hammer. The bearings can also be secured with a special thread locking adhesive e.g. Loctite 243 or similar. This will secure the bearings against possible dropping out.
